In Forta’s latest blog, the concept is explored in relation to Web3 security and how the community can refocus on the threats that matter. If you are interested in combating this way of thinking and want to focus on the threats hurting real users, consider joining Forta’s rewards’ program.
Balancer hack proves the bad guys are out there, but they are now under watch. The Balancer protocol was hacked last week after a vulnerability led to hundreds of thousands of dollars drained from its pools. The attacker exploited the pools using a flashloan vulnerability 38 times on three separate networks. Forta’s coverage just on the Optimism network clearly illustrates the attacker’s methodology and the need for major protocols to seriously invest in incident response.
