The FORT Airdrop rewards early contributors and seeds the broader Web3 security community with FORT tokens so they can begin building on the Forta Network
Forta is a real-time detection network for security & operational monitoring of blockchain activity. As part of its mission to monitor all transactions and protect all assets in Web3, Forta is announcing the FORT Airdrop. Check your eligibility for the FORT Airdrop here.
The Forta Network is calling on the broader community of Web3 developers and security experts to join in its mission to monitor all transactions and protect all assets in Web3. The FORT Airdrop rewards early community members and contributors to Forta, but it also will seed those members of the broader Web3 ecosystem that have demonstrated through their activity that they have a long-term view towards the healthy growth, sustainability, and security of the Web3 ecosystem as a whole.
The FORT Airdrop will be able to be claimed in the near future and the allocated FORT tokens will be able to be used for:
– Building and staking on cutting edge detection bots to expand Web3 monitoring capabilities and signal quality to the Network
– Operating a scan node and staking to strengthen Network resilience
– Voting within the Forta Proposal Process to shape the evolution of the Forta Network
After successfully scaling and stress-testing the Network in the Fortification Phase, 1,700+ scan nodes have already earned more than 2 million FORT tokens by running over 650 detection bots that emit real-time alerts to more than 7,500 subscribers. On June 5th, 2022, the Forta community overwhelmingly voted that the Forta Network was operating on a decentralized basis and was ready for “Permissionless Launch” in the first Forta Proposal.
Now that the Permissionless Launch will take place in the near future and transfer restrictions will be removed from the FORT token, the Forta Network is allocating ~4% of the total FORT token supply for the Forta Airdrop, which will provide some of the best and brightest minds in Web3 FORT tokens that will allow them to build on the Network. You can read more about how the FORT token secures the Forta Network here.
The total supply of FORT tokens has been capped at 1,000,000,000 FORT. Approximately 5.2% of total supply is expected to be in circulation at Permissionless Launch. Please note, the circulating supply only includes the Community Allocations and excludes the tokens held by OpenZeppelin, Initial Core Contributors, as well as Backers’ FORT tokens that are initially non-transferable.
To learn more about uses of the token and lock-up periods, please go to the FORT token section in the docs.
FORT Airdrop Details
~4% of the total FORT token supply has been allocated for the FORT Airdrop. You can easily check your eligibility for the FORT Airdrop by entering your address and GitHub account here.
If you are interested in diving into the details of the FORT Airdrop methodology and criteria, check out the docs here. The FORT Airdrop was shaped by learnings from the innovative projects and protocols that came before and a special thanks goes out to Optimism, The Graph, and Hop Protocol, as well as the wider Web3 ecosystem.
Keep yourself safe from scams. Always double check contract addresses, domains, and the source of information online. FORT’s contract address will always be
0x41545f8b9472D758bB669ed8EaEEEcD7a9C4Ec29 and official FORT Airdrop materials will only be published through the @FortaNetwork Twitter account.
Get involved in other ways
If you weren’t eligible in this Airdrop, there are plenty of other ways to contribute to the Forta ecosystem even before the Permissionless Launch:
– Get started with bot development
– Monitor your wallets and contracts
– Start a discussion in the Forta Forum
– Contribute to the protocol on GitHub
– Check out full-time roles in the Forta ecosystem
