The FORT Airdrop rewards early contributors and seeds the broader Web3 security community with FORT tokens so they can begin building on the Forta Network

The Forta Network is calling on the broader community of Web3 developers and security experts to join in its mission to monitor all transactions and protect all assets in Web3. The FORT Airdrop rewards early community members and contributors to Forta, but it also will seed those members of the broader Web3 ecosystem that have demonstrated through their activity that they have a long-term view towards the healthy growth, sustainability, and security of the Web3 ecosystem as a whole.
The FORT Airdrop will be able to be claimed in the near future and the allocated FORT tokens will be able to be used for:
– Building and staking on cutting edge detection bots to expand Web3 monitoring capabilities and signal quality to the Network
– Operating a scan node and staking to strengthen Network resilience
– Voting within the Forta Proposal Process to shape the evolution of the Forta Network
After successfully scaling and stress-testing the Network in the Fortification Phase, 1,700+ scan nodes have already earned more than 2 million FORT tokens by running over 650 detection bots that emit real-time alerts to more than 7,500 subscribers. On June 5th, 2022, the Forta community overwhelmingly voted that the Forta Network was operating on a decentralized basis and was ready for “Permissionless Launch” in the first Forta Proposal.
Now that the Permissionless Launch will take place in the near future and transfer restrictions will be removed from the FORT token, the Forta Network is allocating ~4% of the total FORT token supply for the Forta Airdrop, which will provide some of the best and brightest minds in Web3 FORT tokens that will allow them to build on the Network. FORT Token Distribution
The total supply of FORT tokens has been capped at 1,000,000,000 FORT. Approximately 5.2% of total supply is expected to be in circulation at Permissionless Launch. Please note, the circulating supply only includes the Community Allocations and excludes the tokens held by OpenZeppelin, Initial Core Contributors, as well as Backers’ FORT tokens that are initially non-transferable.
